Pilar Brooks is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Susan Richter, LMFT, SEP, CEDS. She holds a BA in Fine Art Analog Photography from University of Southern California and a MA in Depth Psychotherapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Additionally, Pilar is trained in somatic-based modalities of Yoga Therapeutics and Somatic Experiencing®, to address symptoms of chronic stress and trauma.
While remaining grounded in somatic-based modalities, Pilar also applies an eclectic range of therapeutic theories in her work such as: Jungian psychology, Gestalt, Ecotherapy, Attachment theory, Imaginal & Archetypal psychology. She has experience working with clients who are struggling with chronic anxiety & depression, PTSD, special needs, life changes, and relationships. Pilar supports the integration and free expression of conscious, unconscious, and somatic realms—making her therapeutic approach a unique one.
