Destinie Vidrio is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Susan Richter, LMFT, SEP, CED. She holds a BA in History from CSUSM, a BA in Psychology from California Lutheran University, and a MS in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy where she specialized in Attachment Theory and Techniques. Destinie is currently pursuing her PhD in Depth Psychology specializing in Integrative Therapy and Healing from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Destinie is also EMDR and Sandtray Therapy trained.
Destinie works with the client holistically by integrating mind and body in her therapeutic practice. Though primarily working through a trauma-informed lens, Destinie applies an eclectic range of therapeutic theories in her practice such as: Gestalt, CBT, Attachment Theory, and mindfulness. Destinie has worked extensively with the LGBTQIA+ community, survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions. Destinie also has experience running Batterer’s Intervention Groups working primarily with women batterers.
