Kimberly Loiacono, BA, CST, CMT (805) 341-8482 Email Me
Kimberly has been in private practice for over 15 years in the Thousand Oaks/Westlake area. She has studied and worked with the best in the field, Dr. John Upledger, Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral, Dr. Bruno Chickley, Dr. Gail Wetzler, Dr. John Hickey, Dr. Jim Blumenthal, and now with Ged Sumner and Steve Haines from Australia and the UK. She has traveled extensively to train and teach.
She was recently certified as a mentor with the Upledger Institute, which is a great honor as there are very few in the United States and enjoys empowering students and offering them opportunities to expand and grow.
Kimberly Loiacono was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy when her 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss. She was encouraged to seek CranioSacral Therapy and decided to take a course to get more information. It was all she needed to postpone her studies in Chiropractic College and it was the beginning of her love for the work. For the past 12 years, Kim has delved deeply into the Upledger Institute's curriculum culminating with an Advanced 2 class with Dr. Upledger and an Advanced BioAquatics class where she lived on a boat and worked with other therapists and dolphins.
Her clients range from newborn to eighty and even include horses. She believes in providing a safe place to allow the body to recognize and reconnect to it's healthy authentic self and supports creating space within the body for change. Listening to the tissue is one of Kim's greatest gifts and this allows her to follow the body's innate wisdom to align and balance. She is continually awed at the body's innate healing ability and is honored to work with every client.
Kim is dedicated to sharing CranioSacral Therapy with the community. She is an Introduction/Overview and ShareCare presenter for the Upledger Institute, leads study groups for other CranioSacral therapists and teaches at a local massage school. Kim has also presented the benefits of CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation at the Getty Center in Los Angeles and other venues. Kimberly volunteers at the Special Olympics and this year at the World Games in Los Angeles.
Recently, she assisted in developing programs to work with Veterans and First Responders. She is able to help bridge and connect various institutions and collaborate resources to aid and assist those who serve our community and country.
