Katie McNamee, MS, MFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Katie earned her Master’s Degree in counseling psychology, with a specialization in attachment theory, from California Lutheran University. She has experience treating adolescents, young adults, couples and families in both individual and group settings.
Katie also has experience working with clients recovering from eating disorders in day treatment and outpatient settings, and has treated clients with a wide range of eating difficulties, addictions, and related struggles. She works with each client to create a safe therapeutic relationship where struggles can be understood and strengths can be nurtured as a client moves toward the life they want to create.
Katie works with clients seeking help understanding and managing depression, anxiety, and effects of trauma, and co-facilitates both a weekly drop-in support group for clients recovering from eating disorders and a young adult social skills group. She is a musician and music teacher and welcomes creativity as part of each client’s therapeutic process.
